Time for some inspiration and perspiration! New England FCA Sports Camp 2010 is coming...
Unleash the Power Camp Theme: Strengthen Your Core
“May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience, with joy.” - Colossians 1:11
Theme Passage – Colossians 1:9-14
Background to the Theme
The camp theme Core Strength will develop the FCA Core Values – Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence. Athletes and coaches will be challenged to develop these spiritual values into their lives … on and off the field of competition. Core values are simply the way you live and conduct yourself. They are your attitudes, beliefs and convictions. Values should be what you are, not what you want to become. The goal is to embody your values every step of the way. Are values just words or are they actually lived out? Can others identify the values in your life without telling them? Your values need to be a driving force that shapes the way you do life! Talk is cheap, but values are valuable. When everything is stripped away, what is left? For FCA, it is integrity, serving, teamwork and excellence. These Four Core are so powerful, we will unpack them as our camp theme in 2010. Read more here.

FCA New England Sports Camp 2009 Was a Blast! This year we held our camp at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH, July 27-31, 2009. Campers participated in men's basketball, women's basketball, soccer, lacrosse, or cross-country. We had over 100 campers and staff, and God was once again faithful to capture our hearts and do business in our lives. Fouad Faris taught us in the morning chapel service, Brad Illian, of Calvary Bible in Derry, led worship, and we had wonderful evening speakers like Ginni Burton, former olympic trial swimmer, and Lee Russon, former professional football player. Lots of great teaching and lots of intense competition! Our theme was Inside Out:
"Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God." - Romans 12:2
INSIDE OUT is about transformation, and it can only start by looking in the heart. As much as you desire to change behavior, it will never stick unless you change the inside. There needs to be a renovation. Before you begin to think about changing the world…or your teammates, first you need to change. Even change as a competitor—on and off the field! You need to surrender and commit. As you become real, God works in you, and then He works through you. Being an INSIDE OUT Christian is about sacrifice, commitment and surrender.
The 2009 FCA Camp season was filled with outstanding competition and spiritual impact. Every camper was encouraged to be INSIDE OUT spiritually and athletically as they spent time pursuing the goals set before them.
FCA Camps are a time of “inspiration and perspiration” for athletes and coaches. Competitors who want to reach their potential through comprehensive athletic, spiritual and leadership training need to attend FCA Camp. So...
